SHIFTING THE SPOTLIGHT

Recognizing the situation the world is facing, Future x Sounds has worked to put together a program that fosters introspection and creativity so that we as a community may survive this pandemic not to return to "business as usual," but a place of realized change.

By Shifting the Spotlight onto their peers, community- builders, and activists, our curators have the unique opportunity to create powerful experiences that inspire artists, attendees, and society to shift perspectives and question the world around them.

CURATED BY:

“By curating this series for Future X Sounds, I aim to push forward a framework for an examination of our own methods and mediums of “activism”. Through this series of Radical Dialogues, we gather tools to ensure that in the “Day After” COVID-19 we do not return to business as usual.

Our Future X Sounds toolkit is a free resource designed to be used, shared, and added to, long after this event, built to continue ongoing conversations that implement change and create a reality unlike we've ever seen. What’s in your toolkit?"

Radical Dialogues

Discussions and interactive workshops will cover a wide range of topics such as: Healing Through Art, "The Day After" COVID-19, Mental Health, and Performance Art as Activism. Artists, activists, media, brands, and community-builders will collaborate to create a set of actionable recommendations & petitions for and from the music community and its ecosystem.
